My ear really hurts after getting wax removed with cotton swab?

Get it checked: This could be as simple as damage to the ear canal from the use of cotton swabs. Sounds like you need someone to take a look in there.

Impaction possible: You may be impacting wax against your eardrum by using the swab too deeply. This is why cotton swab use is Not Advised for ear wax removal. Have your PCM or an Urgent Care center check your ears to make sure there is no wax impaction, ear drum injury, or ear canal injury from your swab use. Debrox drops or the Murine Ear System are good for wax. Avoid getting soapy water in ears - stims wax!
