The aftermath: of emotional, physical and sexual abuse during childhood can lead to any number of psychological disorders. Our psyche does what it can to survive. Regardless of how well someone may have come through the trauma it leaves scars that warrant speaking with a clinical psychologist to reduce the fallout and strengthen the resilience.
