Sea Urchin: Sea urchin spines do contain a type of poison and should be removed if possible. It the spines are easily accessible have them removed. The foot can be assessed by XR or ultrasound to see if there are remaining spines. If they are causing pain or make the foot look red or angry have a surgeon remove them. Sometimes they are absorbed and go away. I hope she gets better soon.
