As long: as he is making at least two wet diapers a day, he is getting enough fluid. If he isn't, call your doctor, as he may need IV fluids. Hope this helps!

Look for signs: There can be subtle signs of dehydration such as decreased wet diapers, dry mouth, and loss of tears. Continue to try tp push fluids even it is a few sips every few minutes.

Pee checks: If he wets every 6 hrs or less, he is great, 8 hrs he is marginal, 12 hrs he is getting dry. Many of these kids will accept chilled applesauce (95% water) because its sweat, ice chips, popsicles are also go bribes.
