Ice and elevate: For starters you need to ice, wrap the ankles with a compression bandage and elevate your legs. If you are not allergic, OTC Advil (ibuprofen) or Motrin can help with the pain. Any persistent swelling, pain, bruising should be evaluated by a doctor for a possible fracture. Best wishes.
