Chronic Pancreatitis: Though most common cause of pancreatitis is Alcohol and / or Gall stones, 20% of the people are idiopathic meaning there is no definitive cause found. Other causes could be Medications, very high triglycerides or uncontrolled DM in the past.

Juicing ok, but...: Juicing was a mainstay of nutrition for me when I was recovering from pancreatitis. Anytime my pancreas flares is, I return to it. Unfortunately, there's not a lot that can be done with pancreatitis other than resting the organ. Be sure to get protein also through small amount of lowfat foods such as beans or tofu or a whey protein drink or shake.
