Expand possibilities: Certainly it can be Scabies, but they don't typically just "leave" the next say. Consider other possible culprits such as bedbugs- check your pillows, blankets and mattress carefully. Another possibility is an unusual reaction to something that you are exposing you hands to.

Not scabies: Hi Bob, although anything is possible, the pattern of rash you have described would be highly atypical of scabies. Scabies would likely not improve until treated. Eczema and similar hypersensitivity type skin conditions would be more likely in this scenario.
