HSG: A Hysterosalpingogram HSG is an Xray designed to confirm that the fallopian tubes are open. Interestingly it tends to "blow" open the tubes cleaning out the mucous and debris. If your fertility issues were caused by this then it may have a therapeutic effect. With irregular periods your problem is more likely to be due to a lack of ovulation
