Good instincts...: The HSG test is usually done roughly between days 6 and 10 after your period starts. The idea of the timing is to make sure you aren't yet pregnant and also aren't on your period. You shouldn't have an HSG done if there is a chance you are already pregnant. You have good instincts! Consider discussing this with your doctor. Best wishes!
