A member asked:

Hi, i did a hsg 11days after periods and my diagnosis came up as bilateral distal hydrosalpinx, now m late 4days for my period, did a pregnancy test and came up negative, does hsg delay periods?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many normally regular women will occasionally skip a cycle or two. The HSG study by itself would have little if any effect on your pattern. The HSG findings suggest a fertility problem & pregnancy would be unlikely. The urine pregnancy test can be falsely negative early and retesting is an option.
