Phlebitis: This is a medical emergency, you need to go to the emergency room right away as the sting has for some reason got inflammation and possible infection in your veins.

See a doctor: The " red line going form the sting site and up the arm" is likely inflammation in a lymphatic vessel ( lymphangitis) draining the area. Th e swelling may signal an infection. Please see a doctor for evaluation and treatment.
