Lubricant: Don't be afraid, the baby is not made out of glass. She might not like you taking the temp but don't fear that you will harm her. If you use a lubricant that should be fine. Why are you taking temp? Does pt feel warm? Do not take pt's temp routinely if no cause for concern.
