Classes of shock: Shock from bleeding progresses from class 1 (least) to 4 (worst). Class 1: little or no symptoms; class 2: increased heart rate, mildly anxious; class 3: further increased heart rate, increased respiratory rate, decreased blood pressure, decreased urine output, anxious & confused; class 4: further increased heart rate/decreased blood pressure, no urine output, confused & lethargic.
