Yes: One of the ways one can clinically diagnose rib pain is to compress it in an area distant from the injury and see if it hurts, since ribs curve all the way around you - so your pain is likely related. While rib pain doesn't cause constipation, the meds used to treat pain typically DO!

It can radiate: around the front sides are the sensory nerves(intercostals) for the chest wall travel on the underside of the ribs. Constipation though would necessarily be caused by the contusion unless you are taking medications that could slow the intestinal tract like Vicodin, Percocet, oxycodone or that it's keeping you in bed with limited activity(moveing around stimulates your GI tract!)

R lower rib contusio: -n can also bruise the liver this however is not a cause of constipation.
