Could be: If one has a stone in the ureter you could have flank pain, abdominal pain or lower quadrant pain. As a stone travels from the kidney to the bladder it goes through the anatomic structure called the ureter. The innervation of the ureter carrying the pain fibers can originate in correlation with the upper mid or lower ureter with upper mid or lower abdominal pain. This pain complexes not have to be from the ureter it could also be from to spend distention of the descending and sigmoid colon.
