One possibility is : a form of migraine headache. It is worth seeing your doctor to discuss your symptoms & your chronic sleep deprivation. One indication for prescribing Provigil or Nuvigil is shift-worker sleep disorder. Medications do not replace consolidated sleep, but they may help you through a tough period. I hope this helps.
