A member asked:

My daughter is 12 years old...n her height is 5.6...i m 5.4 n my husband is 6 feet...my daughter still dont ve monthly periods..how to stop height?

Patience: Apparently, your daughter has entered her adolescent growth spurt (can start as early as age 9 in females, and last an average 24-36 months). Assuming she has no hereditary disorder of her glands or hormones, her height may be starting to max out as we speak. I would also be patient with her menstrual periods. She seems to be OK. Hope that helps.
