Talk with the doc: Plan for long straws and lots of calorie rich liquids. In the US we have Ensure and other similar liquids. With some planning, an appropriate nutritional plan can provide a well balanced diet while the kid is wired up. The stabilizing needed for the jaw to heal should not prevent this avenue of nutrition.

The blender...: The blender & straw will be her friend. Smoothies can be made to be very nutritious and filling - you can incorporate fruit, veggies (carrots, Kale, spinach, avocado, and more!), nut butters, yogurts, etc into a delicious drink.Homemade soups can be another healthy option. Teenagers wanting to eat have been known to puree some crazy things - work with her & be creative during this time :)
