A member asked:

Daughter tenses face and jaw with her mouth open?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

More information: Is this a newborn or a five year old? Is the child otherwise well, eating/sleeping/voiding/stooling normally, without pain or fever? Or does she tense her face when she's about to cry, about to sneeze, about to cough, etc.? Or does she tense her face, open her mouth, then smile at you sweetly? You need to give a much more detailed description of what's going on if we are to be of help to you.
