Many: Most feared is hepatitis causing 16 deaths per 500, 000 recipients. Also allergic reactions, fever, low platelets, kidney failure and flu like illnes esp. With high doses. Nausia and vomitting are common. Rifampin will color the urine, tears feces and sometimes sweat an orange color. It can permanently stain soft contact lenses.
