What is the difference between a wart and a corn?

Wart is from viruses: A wart is a lump on the skin caused by infection by papilloma viruses (it sometimes spreads to others). A corn is a lump of dead skin material formed where there is repeated pressure or friction on the skin (no viruses involved). Both can push into the bottom of the feet because on the soles, a person stands and walks on the lumps all day long.
