Lesions: A wart is caused by a virus. A corn or callus is usually caused by pressure from an outside source claisingthe skin to become thick.

See a doctor.: Your doctor can shave the callus off the top of the lesion and determine whether it is a callus with a core, or an actual wart. Treatments for each can differ slightly, so find out which you have before you try to treat it with over-the-counter removal pads! warts occur because of a virus, calluses occur because of pressure or plugged sweat glands.
