A member asked:

How does kidney disease cause tinitus, my doctor said it could be connected.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bit of a stretch but: OK....I can understand why your doctor would say that because CKD can in fact cause peripheral neuropathies which is the likely mechanism behind the tinnitus. But it's certainly not anywhere close to the most common symptoms. Has your doctor looked at other causes such as medications, infection, and of course the most common cause, hearing loss....Huh? HEARING LOSS!
