Yes: This is not a common side effect but it can happen especially with the mini-pill (progestin only contraceptives). Almost all of the pills today are progestin dominate and in some people progesterone causes fatigue and depression. I suggest to my patients trying a pill for 3 packages and if they are still having problems let me know so we can change the pill.
