Is anyone using euflexxa or other injections on hips with little cartilage left due to severe oa? i can't have a total hip and need to find some help!

YES: It can be done, however insurance will not cover the cost of the medication for the Euflexxa. I have used it in people with hip issues and had fairly good results. Other options if you don't know already are stem cell therapies that can help re-grow or prevent need for surgery. Check out Regenexx.Com for more info.

Off label use: In the US, viscosupplementation with products like Euflexxa is only FDA approved for treatment of OA in the knees. There have been some studies in their use in the hips and it has been used widely in Europe for OA in the hips. But it may be difficult to find a local doctor using it off label.
