No; slower healing: Bowels eliminate waste on their own schedule. Eating can trigger bowel movements, especially in the morning. Fasting actually with SLOW the excretion of stool because there's less to process, and less stimulation. Excretion of urine is also independent of fasting, with a fixed amount of waste that must be eliminated every day. Fasting during a cold reduces the nutrients your body needs to heal
