Postnasal drip: It could be allergic postnasal drip that is causing your discomfort. There is usually no infection, but the tonsils and other tissues in the throat may swell. This can cause discomfort or a feeling that there is a lump in the throat. A correct diagnosis requires a detailed ENT examination. Successful treatment will usually clear up your throat symptoms.
