I'm having a dental implant done soon. can you still have mri's, catscan, etc.... while i'm waiting for it to heal?

And after it heals..: .. you can still have imaging. Dental implants are made out of titanium which is not magnetic, so it is not affected by MRI's. Only metals that are magnetic are affected by MRI's, and i do not know of any that are used in dentistry, barring magnets on certain denture abutments. Ask your dentist what type of implant s/he is placing.

Yes: A regular CAT scan, X-ray, MRI, cone beam CT, etc. will not affect your healing. If you have any further questions, just ask your dentist or the radiology technician for further explanation.
