Breast milk: If you are eating healthy, taking care of yourself, including taking your prenatal vitamins then your breast milk will be nutritious. It is often recommended that an infant take vitamin supplements. Ones that include iron, vit D, A, K, and E. If your baby is gaining weight as expected then your breast feeding is going well.

Ideal food: Breast milk is the ideal food for a baby. Nature makes the milk as nutritious as possible (more nutrients are used in the breast milk, and mother's body gets what is left over!). The best way to tell if your breast milk is adequate is by your baby's growth. Appropriate weight gain and development in your infant is reassuring that your milk is sufficient.

Weight of baby.: The best indicator is the growth of the baby. If the baby is growing at a healthy rate, then your breast milk is just fine.
