Surgery?: Many of these kidney deformities are correctable by surgery. If they are causing her symptoms, then most likely there will be surgery involved. Speak to her specialist about this.

Duplicated ureters ?: Kids who are born with duplications of their kidney collection systems often present with repeated urinary tract infections because of flow problems. Each case is unique, but many will eventually require removal of the lesser duplicated tract. Timing is determined by the pediatric urologists that evaluate the case.
