Red eye morning: The most common causes of red eye in the morning are: not enough sleep, blepharitis, allergy, dry eye, eyes opening while sleeping. An eye MD can help you sort it out. In the meantime, get enough sleep. Blepharitis is treated with warm compresses in the evening followed by scrubbing the base of the eyelashes with a cotton swab dipped in diluted baby shampoo. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
