How to get rid of eye redness after taking out contacts? use contact solution?

Recheck the contacts: Redness is nature's way of cleaning up problems in the eye. When something bothers the eye, the vessels on the eye surface expand to carry away the irritant and bring in defense systems to help with the cleanup. Drops that "get the red out" just defeat your natural protective system, but do not fix the underlying problem. If contacts make eyes red, they should be rechecked and/or replaced.

Ulcer or poor fit?: Red eyes with contact lenses may also indicate bacterial, viral, or fungal corneal ulceration on surface of eye fom contacts lens trauma to eye surface or from prolonged contact lens wear (e.g. More than 8-12 hrs/day or sleeping in contact lenses even one night). Also, a poorly fit contact lens may adhere too tight to eye surface and lead to hypoxic cornea. Allergy to contact lens possible.
