Could be: In cml, you can have low platelet count either from supression to the bone marrow by the leukemic cells or from side effect of the treatment of cml. Your doctor will be able to monitor your platelet count and would be able to guide you safely through the treatment. Follow up with your oncologist and discuss further with your md.
