Yes: But you need to introduce things slowly. I like to give the same thing every day for three days to make sure there is no reaction before moving on to the next food. Try also to either use jar foods or stick to things that are not higly seasoned or high in sugar content.

Feed Solids Now: Transitioning to solid foods should begin at 6 mos old. Your son will be 6 mos in 2 weeks & showing a healthy interest in solids. Now would be a good time to start as his eagerness to feed is certainly a positive sign for successful transition. A balanced diet consisting of all food groups especially meats, fish, fresh fruits/vegetables is recommended. Continue breast milk/formula supplementally.
