Control the BP: If your husband's dizzy spells have been diagnosed as being related to hypertension, then the solution is to get his blood pressure under better control. Uncontrolled hypertension can cause symptoms including your husband's (aka hypertensive urgency) or organ (brain, heart, etc) damage (aka hypertensive emergency). http://www.turner-white.com/memberfile.php?PubCode=hp_mar07_hypertensive.pdf

Maybe: High blood pressure doesn't typically cause dizziness, but low blood pressure often does. Make sure the blood pressure medication dose isn't too high. The top BP number should be between 100 and 140. If having frequent dizziness and BP is not low, investigation is needed to rule out problems with the heart and brain and inner ear.
