How soon after giving birth is it ideal to have an eye exam? can hormonal changes give wrong results, such as a stronger or weaker prescription?

No relation: Provided you did not have gestational diabetes (temporary elevation of your blood sugar) or any other disorders during your pregnancy there should be no effect on your refraction (visual acuity) of the pregnancy itself. See an opthamologist (M.D.) for a complete eye exam any time.
Hope this helps
