Clinical psychologist vs. rehabilitation counselor vs. counseling psychologist? what's the difference between the 3?

Specializes in Clinical Psychology

Let's start with: clinical psychologist vs. counseling psychologist. The former focuses more on diagnosis and treatment of major mental illness but can also treat developmental issues that most of us go through as we grow. Counseling psychologists focus more on development through the life span and not so much on major mental illness. A rehabilitation counselor helps folks back from illness and may train them.
