Salicylic acid cast: Do not cut this area. You may need to apply a salcylic acid adhesive cast. For very small corns you can try a small piece of duck tape-leave in place for 2-3 days and repeat. For larger corns- consult a podiatrist.

Yes; may need help: You can get rid of a large corn.First, you need to wear shoes that fit properly. Corns are generally thickened skin due to pressure. You may be able to use OTC preparations (like Dr. Scholl's). If it is large and causing pain, see a podiatrist who can provide more aggressive treatment.
