A little of each: Good shoes with padded insoles. General maintenance using s pumice stone. Another thing is by using a foam protector over your big toe.

Wear good shoes: In addition to using pads or a pumice stone, make sure your shoes fit properly. Shoes that are too narrow or wide can cause extra pressure or friction. Avoid very high heels. For severe calluses, your doctor may recommend a cream to soften the callus and/or custom orthotics to support your foot and reduce areas of pressure.
