Not really: Everybody's mouth has germs. Your baby putting her hands in their mouth, and then, quite naturally, putting them in her own mouth, passes germs. Your baby is exposed to a lot of germs (bacteria and viruses) every day, but there is no need to increase that with other people's mouth germs! There is research to show that this can also increase the risk of dental cavities in children.
