Maybe: Newborns will generally pee once or more the first day and then go at least every 6 hours.Often it is not a lot, so it can be hard to monitor. Diapers have special drying agents in their weave to draw moisture away from the skin. Some newer diapers have an indicator strip that changes color when they pee, making it easier to tell. In the NICU we weigh diapers to detect pee.
