Pink eye: is an inflammation or infection of the conjunctiva. Both viral and bacterial types are very contagious. If your infection is bacterial, your doctor may prescribe antibiotic drops, but for viral there is no treatment and virus needs time to run its course (2-3 weeks). See your PCP for diagnosis and treatment.
