PainPerceptionBrain: In our body, all sensations are nerve impulses, from various sensor cells via sensory nerve cells in the spinal cord & are relayed to our brain where our mind interprets sensation. Podiatrist cannot seen pain, or the source of pain; can only promote theories & is paid to sell treatments which may or may not make things better, worse. You feel the symptoms & are in best position to sort out issues.

Talk to podiatrist: Your podiatrist is in a much better position than anyone on this site to help you with your foot pain. The podiatrist has examined you and should be able to provide a useful assessment and treatment recommendations. If not, then seek another podiatrist.
