Need more info: I'm assuming you had a urine test. A high spot microalbumin in the urine is not meaningful without a spot urine creatinine. The ratio of microalbumin to creatinine can indicate whether or not one has issues with spilling some protein in the urine, an indicator of kidney damage. This can be caused by things such as longstanding hypertension, diabetes, and ischemic kidney changes.
