A member asked:

I have a low anion gap, low estgfr, a high microalbumin/creatinine ratio, ha1c and a high alt. any concerns/thoughts?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Diabetic kidney: These are signs of emerging diabetic kidney disease and likely fatty liver from diabetes. Is concerning. High Microalbumin/creatinine ratio indicates albumin leak into urine from overt diabetic kidney change. The low eGFR indicates kidney impairment. The low anion gap reflects low albumin in blood and would indicate high spillage of albumin into urine. High A1c indicates poor glucose control.
