A member asked:

My sister has a first aid burn on her hand (she dropped a niscafe on her shoulder? how can she treat the burn

A doctor has provided 1 answer

1st degree burns: First degree burns involve only the first layer of skin, and usually appear red (like sunburn). Blistering does not generally occur with this type, although some peeling can appear during healing. Treatment consists of cooling the burn with cool water, and keeping covered with a non-adherent dressing. OTC pain meds may be useful. First degree burns usually heal well without scarring.
