What's the best way to treat status migraine when the er migraine cocktail doesn't work? had botox wed. migraine began thursday.

Not rocket science: Have no problem with BOTOX, but effect may take several days to weeks, and is a good approach in many. Severe repetitive migraines may be aborted by several days of steroids, even intravenous Solumedrol (methylprednisolone). A long-term solution should focus on prevention, and I prefer to use OTC approaches such as riboflavin, butterbur, Co-Q10, and maybe magnesium. Suggest you stay out of the ER, see neurologist.
