A member asked:

40yr old fem sed rate rising (cont 1) triglycerides 381; uric acid 7.3; d-dimer 0.72; c4 42; crp 0.90; alt(sgpt) 40. what do all these results mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Inflammation: Sed rate & CRP are markers of inflammation. Elevated Trigs w/ slightly elevated ALT may indicate Fatty liver, D-dimer is a marker of clotting disorders, elevated uric acid may cause concern for gout, would highly recommend discussion w/ Dr who ordered the labs - May have been thinking of lupus or such related inflammatory disorders.
