Not necessarily: If she does truly have strep, Zithromax is a fine treatment. If she sounds croupy, then croup is a virus and there is no specific treatment. If she is having trouble breathing, take her in the bathroom and turn on the shower, to let her breathe the steam. If that doesn't work, call your doctor, or take her to the ER. Hope this helps!
