A member asked:

He suffers from spondylitis ... took some skelaxin (metaxalone) and has to take a drug test for probation... will this show a false positive for anything?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Drug Test: He will have no problem if he took a medication he has a prescription for, he just needs to show the prescription to the drug test center. If he does not he may have problem. I do not know specifically what it will show as but it will not be a false positive. Best thing to do is tell them before the test he took this medication. Always remember to only take prescription drugs given to you!
